It's easy! As of 2017, if you have a Tennessee drivers license, you can register to vote online here.
If you don't have a Tennessee driver's license, you can register by mail- just fill out this form and mail it to your county election commission- click your county on this map to find the address: http://tnsos.org/elections/election_commissions.php

What ID Do I Need to Vote?
There are a few different IDs you can bring with you to the polls, even if they're expired. Namely:
- Tennessee driver license with your photo
- United States Passport
- Photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security
- Photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government
- United States Military photo ID
- Tennessee handgun carry permit with your photo
If you are voting for the first time, and your ID is expired, just bring a copy of a current utility bill with your name and address in addition to your expired ID.
