Register to Vote

Registering to vote is easy, and can be done both online or by mail-in form. Whether or not you have a TN Drivers License will determine how you can register. Voter registration must be completed online or by mail at least 30 days before an election to be eligible to vote. 

 
 

I have a TN Drivers License:

Register Online

Registering to vote online is easy and can be done online using Tennessee’s GoVoteTN site. It takes 12-15 min to complete, with info divided into 7 short sections. Follow the steps below to start the quick process.

I do NOT have a TN Drivers License:

Register by Mail-in Form

Even if you don’t yet have a Tennessee Drivers License, you can still register to vote by sending in your Voter Registration Form by mail. Follow the steps below to download and where to send in your form.

1. Go to the Online Registration Site

Confirm your eligibility and start the 12 to 15 minute process to getting registered!

2. Complete the Steps with Your Information

Follow the steps and fill in your information, double-checking that everything is correct before moving to the next section. One of the final steps is answering a security question to confirm you’re not a bot. Once complete, hit submit.

1. Download & Complete Your Form

Download and print the Voter Registration Form. Complete all the fields, double-checking to make sure everything is filled in and correct.

2. Address & Mail Your Form

Send your Mail-in Form to your County Election Commission office and don’t forget to include your return address at the top. Find your Election Commission mailing information here:
